NB: To date, no health alerts have been configured, but highly recommend this be done.
To automatically receive notifications when an Azure region or Availability Zone experiences downtime or issues, you can set up alerts using Azure Service Health, which provides real-time alerts for service outages, planned maintenance, and health advisories. Here’s how you can configure automatic notifications:
1. Failure Scenario
This recovery plan relates to the following Failure Scenarios:

Once the automated messaging has been setup, you will receive an appropriate message that will trigger you to investigate the zone not available concern.
2. Recovery Procedure
Access Azure Service Health
- Log in to the Azure Portal.
- In the search bar, type Service Health and select Service Health under Monitor.
